So long 2019

Here in Sunnyvale, CA, it's 8 p.m. on December 31. We're all getting ready to say goodbye to 2019 and hello to 2020.  Ready or not, we will all be starting a new decade when we wake up in the morning.

My thoughts run to whether I should spend time reflecting on the past year or past decade or share hopes and plans for the year and decade to come. My guess is that over the next few days and weeks, you see that I'll share a little bit of both.

It's been more than 18 months since we returned to the US from El Salvador and that's exactly when I shut down my Parris in El Salvador blog.  Surprise, surprise, I've decided that I missed sharing my thoughts and life and missed the ability to look back on the events and people that were part of my life.  There are so many sweet memories in my eight years of blogging.

So, here I go again.  I'm happy to have you join me as we jump into 2020.
